Description
I volunteered to lead Art Direction for the official digital magazine of the World Futures Studies Federation. New leadership was at the helm of restarting the magazine and needed someone to put the magazine together and make it visually engaging.
Purpose/Goal
Provide engaging visual content at no cost, arrange layout, and provide proofreading as needed.
Challenges & Successes
I was successful in completing and publishing three digital magazines that were read by other futurists.
It was a challenge to coordinate deadlines and responsibilities with other volunteer collaborators as meeting expectations were hard to guarantee; tasks were accomplished by whomever was willing to step up to the plate.
Role
I collaborated with a wide variety of staff, working most closely with the magazine lead to coordinate contributors and a photo sourcing associate.
